Terms of Service

Sous connects to your Google Calendar (read-only, with your consent), learns your household's preferences, and delivers weekly meal plans and grocery lists — primarily by text message. Sous provides suggestions and information; it is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use Sous. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Sign-in is handled through Google.

• Sous is offered as a paid subscription. We may offer a free trial; unless you cancel before it ends, your subscription will begin and the applicable fee will be charged.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods until cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
• Prices may change; we'll give notice before changes take effect.

By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive service text messages from Sous. Message and data rates may apply, and frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. SMS is provided via Twilio and is subject to carrier availability and delays outside our control.

You agree not to:

• Use Sous for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Abuse, harass, or send prohibited content through the messaging channel.
• Resell or commercially exploit the service without our permission.

Meal plans, recipes, and replies are generated with the help of AI and may contain errors or omissions. Always use your own judgment, especially regarding allergies, food safety, and dietary needs. You are responsible for verifying that suggested meals are safe and appropriate for your household.

Sous and its content, features, and branding are owned by us and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for your personal, household use.

Sous relies on third parties including Google, Twilio, Stripe, and our AI provider. Your use of those integrations may also be subject to their respective terms, and we're not responsible for their services.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sous and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You may stop using Sous and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
